Grant contracts for 2 humanitarian projects worth half a million EUR signed in Berehove, Zakarpattia

500,000 EUR were allocated for humanitarian projects from the remaining budget of ENI CBC Hungary - Slovakia - Romania - Ukraine 2014-2020 programme. The funds were allocated without a competition, through a direct award.
 

 

Grant contracts have been signed between the Joint Technical Secretariat of the programme, represented by Mr. Áron Szakács, and the main project partners.

The first project is called "Better Future" with the participation of the Maltese Charitable Organization of Berehove and the Hungarian Charitable Service of the Order of Malta (Hungary). Budget: EUR 277,527.72.

The project focuses on the following areas: therapy for children with special needs, assistance to young people affected by the war, and humanitarian food aid.

In the second project, partners are the Hungarian Ecumenical Service, the Transcarpathian Center for Development and Counseling "Advance", and NGO "Social Center ETALON" (Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine). Budget is EUR 277,777.62.

Within the framework of this humanitarian project, Transcarpathian partner plans to purchase food and hygiene products, fuel briquettes for 400 households for the winter period and medical equipment for children and adults for 3 hospitals (in Berehove, Rakhiv and Mukachevo) according to the needs of the hospitals.
