Objectives of your project idea: preservation and promotion of objects and territories of historical and cultural heritage (castles, historical parks, monuments, churches etc.)

Expected results: 1. Creation of database and virtual cross-border 3D-museum based on laser scanning objects and territories of historical and cultural heritage in the cross-border area of Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine. 2. Development of the network of tourist objects as a basis of thematic routes and packages connecting historical and cultural heritage. 3. Providing owners of objects and territories of historical and cultural heritage with recommendations for their restoration and reconstruction.

Target groups/final beneficiaries: local authorities, tourism national offices

Main planned activities: 1. Study of objects and territories of historical and cultural heritage in order to creating a basis for cross-border thematic tourist route – “History in stone”. 2. Scanning of objects and territories of historical and cultural heritage (castles, churches, historic parks and gardens) in order to create 3D models of these objects as a basis of thematic routes and tourist packages in the cross-border region (from the Ukrainian side, it will be the castles: Serednie Castle, Nevytsky Castle, Kankiv Castle, Kvasove Castle, Korolevo Castle) and to provide stakeholders with recommendations for making correct decisions above the restoration of historical heritage sites. 3. Joint promotional activities and providing the information about cross-border routes and related attractions (development of tourist maps, joint online sources of information (web site, virtual 3D museum), information materials and tables for promotion of routes and attractions). 4. Organization of joint cultural events - preparation and demonstration of thematic theatrical performances at objects of cultural heritage (showing of theatrical guest performances on the territory of the castles). 5. Exchange of experience between organizations related to cultural, religious and historical heritage (conferences, seminars) for the development of local culture and history along with tourism functions. 6. Joint educational programs and seminars, trainings for local stakeholders in the field of tourism, promotion and networking for cooperation using modern IT tools and programs (possibilities of using laser scanning and creation the 3D models of tourist routes and historical heritage for the sustainable development of the cross-border region). 7. Joint development of the Guide for the preservation and restoration of objects and territories of historical heritage for their owners with purpose of creating a network of tourist facilities, and in the future for the sustainable development of the cross-border territory.
